    Most lessons are held virtually via Zoom or Google Meet, allowing flexible scheduling and accessibility for students worldwide. Local in-person sessions or hybrid formats may also be arranged for corporate contracts or clients in the St. Louis, MO area.

    An instructor will conduct a short placement conversation or writing sample during your free consultation. This helps identify strengths, areas for growth, and learning style preferences to create a customized study plan. Alternatively, students can complete the contact information form and include what area of English they would like to focus on.

    Absolutely. We offer a free 20-minute consultation where we discuss your goals, schedule, and expectations. This ensures the lessons are a great fit before you commit to a package.

  • 8. How long is each session, and how often should I take classes?

    Standard sessions are 60 minutes, though 90-minute or 30-minute options can be arranged. For best results, most students meet once or twice per week depending on their schedule and progress pace.

  • 9. What materials or textbooks will I need?

    All lesson materials are provided digitally. No textbook purchases required. Students will receive custom worksheets, interactive slides, and real-world reading and listening materials selected for their level and goals.

    If a student, business, company, or school would prefer to be taught using a textbook, a copy or available source of the textbook must be provided prior to the first session.

    Yes! Lessons are 100% tailored to your objectives. Tailored lessons can include preparing for a job interview, improving presentation skills, or mastering daily conversation. You can even request specialized topics like academic writing, pronunciation, or cultural communication.

    Editing improves sentence flow, tone, clarity, and structure for a polished, professional final product.

    Pricing depends on word count, document type, and turnaround time. We provide transparent quotes upfront so you always know the cost before we begin. Typical rates start at $0.04–$0.08 per word for standard editing and $0.02–$0.04 per word for proofreading.

    Turnaround time ranges from 24 hours to 5 business days, depending on document length and complexity.

    Rush services are available upon request for a $15 extra fee.

    You can easily book a session or request a quote through the contact form on our website. Once received, we’ll follow up with a consultation or invoice within 24 hours.

  • 20. What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept major credit cards, PayPal, Cash App, and bank transfers. Corporate invoices can be arranged for larger contracts.

  • 21. Are there package discounts or subscription plans?

    Yes! Students can save by booking lesson bundles (e.g., 5, 10, or 20-session packages).

    Editing clients can also receive discounted rates for recurring or bulk projects.

  • 22. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

    We ask for at least 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged a $5 fee, as your reserved slot cannot be rebooked.

    Corporate or group clients can email us directly at hello@languagebylight.com to discuss scope, scheduling, and billing preferences. We’ll prepare a formal contract and invoice for approval.

    Yes. Digital receipts are automatically sent after each transaction or upon request for business reimbursement purposes.

    We’re proudly based in Missouri, USA, and serve clients nationwide and internationally through online instruction.

  • 26. What are your business hours?

    Our general hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (CST), with limited weekend availability for international students and corporate sessions.

    Language by Light, LLC is closed every Sunday and national holidays.

  • 27. Do you serve clients outside the United States?

    Yes! We currently work with students from multiple countries across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. All sessions are conducted online via video conferencing platforms.
